10:34am 20th October 2014

The description of the suspect is similar in both cases and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The first incident occurred at around 6.50pm on Friday 17 October 2014. A woman was sitting in the living room of her house on Shipton Road when she looked up and saw a man outside.

She went to the door and found the man standing on her driveway exposing himself.

He is described as white, aged between 18 and 22-years-old, around 5ft 10in tall, with a medium build, dark, shaved hair and stubble. He was wearing a navy or black sweatshirt with a white logo and dark trousers.

The second incident occurred the following day at around 9am. A woman was jogging along the cycle path between James Street and Layerthorpe when a man exposed himself to her.

He is described as white, aged in his mid-20s, around 6ft tall, with an athletic build, short dark hair, which was curly on top and a dragon tattoo on the right side of his neck. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey hooded-top and trainers.

Officers are appealing to anyone who recognises the description of the man or has been approached in similar circumstances to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with the investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Lauren Wilkinson or York Police.

Alternatively, information can be emailed to lauren.wilkinson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk

If you prefer not to give your name, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Please quote reference number 12140179452 when passing information about the Shipton Road incident and reference number 12140180124 when calling about the incident on the cycle path.
