Cyclist injured in York collision
9:32am 16th October 2014
The cyclist, a 46-year-old local woman, was travelling along Field Lane, in Heslington, towards the university at around 3pm on Friday 9 October 2014, when she was hit by a blue car which had pulled out of Badger Wood Walk into her path.
The driver of the car initially stopped at the scene and apologised, however he left without leaving his details. It is likely that his car will have damage on or around the driver’s door.
The woman was left with bruised legs and was helped by a number of witnesses following the incident. None of the people who came to her aid left their details and officers are urging them to come forward with information.
The police would like to speak to the driver of the blue car or anyone who witnessed the incident.
Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Ian O’Grady or York police.
Alternatively, information can be emailed to ian.O’Grady@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
