Selby police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a wanted man from the town.

Greg Tate, 25, is wanted as he has breached bail conditions imposed by the Crown Court which bar him from entering Selby.

He is described as white, 5ft 10in tall with a medium build and brown hair.

Tate is known to have connections in the Selby and York areas.

Police Sergeant Mark Proctor, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "Greg, if you see or hear this appeal, I advise you to hand yourself in immediately. This is not an issue which will go away and we will not stop looking for you, until you are back in custody.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has seen Tate and ask them to get in touch with the police straight away.”

Sergeant Proctor, added: “Officers have already visited a number of addresses to which Tate is known to have links. These visits will continue until he has been arrested.”

Anyone who can help to locate Greg Tate should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and pass the information the Force Control Room.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
