Police Investigate Tadcaster Battery Theft

It occurred between 7pm on Sunday 21 September and 8am on Monday 22 September 2014, at Tadcaster Household Waste Recycling, Station Road.

The thieves stole a large number of car batteries, valued at several hundred pounds.

PC Heather Wilkinson, of Tadcaster Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

“If you were in the area of the recycling centre during the time of the burglary, I ask you to come forward if you noticed anyone acting in a suspicious manner."

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered batteries in unusual circumstances and ask that they get in touch as soon as possible.”
