Murder Suspects Arrested In York

 Two people have been arrested in York on suspicion of murdering Stephen Eastwood. On 27 March 2012, Stephen was seriously injured when he was assaulted on Lawrence Street.Stephen, aged 47, never recovered from his injuries and sadly died in May 2014. A murder investigation was launched.

Officers from North Yorkshire Police’s Major Crime Unit, who conducted the investigation, arrested two people this morning (Monday 15 September 2014) on suspicion of murder.A man, aged 42, and a woman, aged 28, remain in police custody for questioning. Stephen’s family have been informed of the arrests..

The Major Crime Unit are appealing to anyone with information about the assault which led to Stephen’s death to come forward.
