The University of York’s Centre for Lifelong Learning is offering those with a thirst for knowledge the opportunity to find out more about its wide range of courses, all of which are open to members of the public.

Held on Wednesday 10 September from 1.30-5pm at King’s Manor, the Open Day will give learners the chance to drop-in and meet tutors and staff, ask questions, and register for a place on courses which begin in early October. All courses offered are open access, with no need for previous experience or qualifications.

Lesley Booth, Director of Community Relations and Lifelong Learning said: “Our 2014-15 programme is just as extensive as usual, with over 200 courses on offer in everything from philosophy and science, to creative writing and psychology. Whether it’s a one-day Saturday school or a full year’s programme of study you’re looking for, our courses are the ideal way to get back into learning and explore something new in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.”

For more information about the day, or the Lifelong Learning programme in general, please contact the Centre on 01904 328473 or lifelonglearning@york.ac.uk
