Motorcyclist Injured in collision near Selby

At around 6.05pm on Saturday 23 August 2014, the motorcyclist, an 18-year-old local man, was riding along York Road in Barlby towards Selby when he passed the bus stop opposite Northfield.

As he went past, an Arriva bus pulled out into his path causing him to fall off his bike. He sustained an injury to his shoulder in the incident.

The bus was the 415 York to Selby service.

Officers are keen to trace any passengers who were on the bus at the time of the incident and are urging them to come forward if they saw what happened.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Special Constable Richard Stagg or Selby police.
