Success For York School

queen ethelburga's college

The Faculty of Queen Ethelburga’s, which allows pupils to take more vocational BTECs alongside A-Levels, was ranked 18th in the country in the Daily Telegraph’s independent schools’ league table. Last year, the school was ranked 43rd.

The Principal of Queen Ethelburga’s, Steven Jandrell, is very pleased by the rankings:

“We knew from our average UCAS points score per student in both of our senior schools that we had done well again this year, but we are absolutely delighted to have achieved such excellent rankings.”

“It is confirmation that our approach to assessing each of our students individually, finding subjects that they enjoy or are good at, makes such a difference as to how they perform in course work and examinations,” he added.
