York College Degree Level Courses Closer Than You Think

Biker Seriously Injured Near Pickering – Can You Help?

It occurred at around 1.40pm on Sunday 17 August 2014, between Pickering and Whitby at Saltersgate Bank.

The collision involved a silver Kia Picanto, which was travelling towards Whitby, and a black Harley-Davidson motorcycle, heading towards Pickering.

As a result of the incident a 55-year-old woman from Strensall suffered serious injuries and was taken to James Cook Hospital, Middlesbrough, where she remains in a stable condition.

The road was closed for a short time following the collision.

Traffic Constable Paul Long, of the Force’s Roads Policing Group, said:

“If you witnessed the collision, or saw either of the vehicles prior to the incident, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”
