Police Investigate Sowerby Shed Burglary

It was stolen between Sunday 13 July and Sunday 20 July 2014, from a shed of a house on Melbourne Place, Sowerby.

The thieves stole four fishing rods, a landing net, an umbrella, a rod pod tent and a green chair.

PC Victoria Swift, of Thirsk Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

“If you have been offered fishing equipment in unusual circumstances I urge you to come forward and contact the police straight away."

“I am also asking anyone who noticed anyone acting in a suspicious manner in the Melbourne Place area during the time of the break in, I ask you to get in touch with the police.”
