How To Get Your York Lendal Bridge Fine Back
12:03am 12th July 2014
(Updated 12:09am 12th July 2014)
York Council has announced it is going to refund the Lendal Bridge fines from its controversial traffic experiment. It's understood drivers will have to contact the authority and request a refund, rather than them being automatically issued.
The council has not yet published details of an official refund scheme but here are the authority's contact details so you can begin the process to apply to get your money back:
- Phone: 01904 551550 - Phone lines are open between 8.30am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday
- E-mail: email@example.com
- In person: Visit the council's headquarters at West Offices, Station Rise, York, YO1 6GA (although it is unlikely a refund will be issued immediately)
When contacting the council, be sure to have your fine to hand and quote any reference numbers on the letter as this should speed up the process.
The refund decision does not apply to any fines issued for the Coppergate restrictions.
