Man Falls Victim to Fake £20 Note Switch in York

At around 8.10pm on Sunday 6 July 2014, a man reported that he had been approached by another man on Parliament Street in York, who asked him if he could change a £20 note.

The victim handed the man two £10 notes in return and believing the note he received back was fake he contacted the police.

The note has been sent for examination.

Officers have not received any other reports of this nature.
