Driver Urged to Come Forward After York Cycle Collision

York police are appealing for the driver of a large gold car or 4x4-type vehicle to come forward after it was involved in a collision with a cyclist on the A19 in the Clifton area.

It happened near the junction with The Avenue at about 5.50pm on Wednesday 18 June 2014 at around 17:50hrs.

The cycle rider, a man from York, suffered a broken elbow which required treatment at York District Hospital.

The man driving the gold vehicle stopped at the scene and helped the cyclist. However, they did not exchange insurance details.
