Police Are Appealing For Witnesses After Woman Punched in York

At around 2.20am on Monday 16 June 2014, the victim a 21-year-old woman, was walking along Farrar Street when she was approached by a man who punched her in the face three times.
The man is described as olive skinned, possibly middle eastern or from eastern Europe, aged between 20 and 25-years-old, around 5ft 10in tall, well built with dark hair, a round face and thick eyebrows.
He was wearing a pale-coloured long sleeved shirt with a pale vertically striped pattern on it and beige chinos.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the man, to contact them with information.
In particular, any taxi drivers who were dropping passengers off in the Lawrence Street area in the early hours of Monday morning could have information which can help the police with their enquiries.
The victim suffered a cut to her eye in the incident but did not require hospital treatment.
