Police Investigating Scrayingham Break In

At sometime between 9.15am and 5pm on Tuesday 3 June 2014, thieves smashed their way into a house in the village through a back door, while the occupants were out for the day.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch.

Detective Constable Clair Gascoyne, of Malton CID, said: “I am keen to speak to anyone from Scaryingham, or the surrounding villages if they saw or heard anything unusual in the area on Tuesday.

“Did you see any vehicles which looked out of place or did anyone come to your door offering to sell you anything?”
