Malton Police Investigate Damage to Allerston Gate

Malton Police Station

3:54pm 28th May 2014

Malton police are appealing for information after an act of criminal damage near the town.

It occurred overnight between 11pm on Sunday 25 May and 8am on Monday 26 May 2014, at a house on the outskirts of Allerston.

A timber gate, measuring 14ft by 5ft, at the entrance to the property was taken off its hinges and laid on the floor. As a result a cast iron sign, valued at £100, on the gate was badly damaged.

PC Louise Beck, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you have any information which could help to identify those responsible for this damage, I urge you to contact the police straight away.”

Anyone who can assist with this enquiry should contact Malton police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Louise Beck. Alternatively, information can be emailed to louise.beck@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting reference number 12140085273.
