Vangarde Shopping Park Holds Family Fun Day as Restaurants Open
2:57pm 28th May 2014
As a number of new restaurants open their doors at the Vangarde Shopping Park, a family fun day with face painters, stilt walkers, stylists, food sampling and competitions is taking place on Thursday 29 May from 9-5pm.
Shoppers and children can enjoy free face painting and enchanting stilt walkers throughout the day, whilst those looking for professional help can sign up for a slot with a stylist for the perfect new outfit or for tips on how to redecorate their home.
An exclusive competition is also running on the day for the first 30 people to present a receipt at the entertainment marque over the value of £50, spent on the day, to pick a random shopping voucher from the various retailers valued between £10 and £100.
Deb O’Donnell, Centre Manager at Vangarde Shopping Park, said: “It’s going to be a really great day at the Vangarde with plenty to do for everyone. We’re delighted to officially welcome giraffe, Ed’s Easy Diner, Costa Coffee and Frankie & Benny’s; I’d encourage any hungry shoppers to pop over to try out the samples they’ll be offering throughout the day.
“Any shoppers who need an extra hand with picking items can enlist the help of our professional stylists; why not bring along the pair of shoes you’re trying to match an outfit to or even a mood board of a room you’re trying to redecorate.
“We’re also announcing our official charity partnership with NSPCC, it’s a fantastic cause who work tirelessly to end child cruelty across the UK.”
Vangarde Shopping Park is home to York’s first John Lewis department store, the region’s largest M&S store and a state-of-the-art Next store. The impressive line-up of restaurants includes Giraffe, Costa Coffee, Ed’s Easy Diner, and Frankie & Benny’s, whilst Prezzo and Nando’s will open in the coming weeks.
