EU Elections: UKIP Tops EU Poll in York, Tories Top in Ryedale

The results for Yorkshire's European elections are in. There are now three UKIP MEPs in Yorkshire, two Labour and one Conservative MEP across the region. UKIP has gained two additional seats, Labour gained one seat, Conservatives stayed level on one. The Liberal Democrats and British Democratic Party have lost their seats. 

In York, UKIP have topped the poll, with the Conservatives in second place just ahead of Labour in third position. The Liberal Democrats came in fifth place behind the Green Party. The full results for the City of York are:

In Ryedale, the Conservatives came first beating UKIP into second place with Labour in third place. The Green Party came fourth, beating the Liberal Democrats into fifth place. The full results for Ryedale are:
