Two Parked Cars Hit By 4x4 in Acomb Collision

York police are appealing for the occupants of a silver 4 x 4 vehicle to contact them following a collision in Carr Lane, Acomb.

They are also appealing for witnesses to the collision and to anyone who knows of such vehicle which has recently sustained damage.

The collision occurred at around 1.30pm today when the silver vehicle collided with two parked cars, a silver Citroen and a grey Ford Mondeo, causing damage to both.

The 4 x 4 did not stop following the crash and left the scene via Rosedale Avenue.

The occupants of the 4 x 4 are described as a man, a woman and a child believed to be aged around 12.

Inspector Neil Drummond of York police said: “Anyone who can assist our appeal for information is asked to call us as soon as possible.

“Although no-one was injured in the parked vehicles, it’s possible that the occupants of the silver 4 x 4 were injured and may require medical attention.”

The occupants of the 4 x 4, witnesses, and anyone who can help identify the vehicle is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
