Thieves Steal Mobiles, Keys and Camera from Selby Tip

Selby police are appealing for information after a commercial burglary in the town.

It occurred between 7pm on Sunday 18 May and 7.30am on Monday 19 May 2014, from the household waste site on Canal Road.

The thieves broke into a securely locked storage container before stealing around 25 old mobile phones, keys and a Sony camera.

PC Lee Smith, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in the area of the Canal Road waste site around the time when the theft occurred and noticed any suspicious activity, I ask you to contact the police straight away.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who has been offered second hand mobile phones in unusual circumstances and ask them to get in touch.”
