1:23pm 21st May 2014

Selby police are appealing for information after a sneak-in burglary near the town.

It occurred between 12pm and 3pm on Tuesday 13 May 2014, from a house on Bar Lane, Hambleton.

The thieves stole an Apple iPad.

Detective Constable Lee Maeer, of Selby CID, said: “If you saw any suspicious activity in the Hambleton area around the time of the burglary, I urge you to contact the police straight away.

“I would like to remind homeowners that it is important they keep doors and windows secure, even if they are at home.

“Window locks and door chains should be fitted for extra security.”
