Woman Taken to Hospital After Suspected Selby House Arson

A woman's been rescued from a house fire in Selby overnight, with investigations into it's cause taking place this morning.
The woman, who's in her fifties, was given first aid by firefighters for the effects of smoke inhalation before paramedics took her to York Hospital to be treated.
Fire crews were called out at 1.27am to a house on Newcroft. Firefighters say the house has suffered fire damage and also had heavy smoke damage.
The fire was put out by 2.50am but officials are now carrying out an investigation into the cause of the fire.
Anyone who saw or heard and suspicious activity in the area late on Sunday night or in the early hours of Monday morning, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Selby police.
