Appeal As York Police Investigate Head-Butting Incident

At around 9:45pm on Friday 4 April 2014, a red Volkswagen Golf was stopped at the traffic lights at the junction of Melrosegate and Hull Road, when a man approached the driver’s side of the car and head-butted the window causing it to smash.

The 17-year-old driver of the Golf sustained a cut to his arm.

The suspect is described as aged in his early 20s, with tanned skin, short black hair, around 6ft tall and of medium build. He was wearing a grey jacket with red sleeves and dark coloured trousers. He was with another man who had blonde curly hair and he was wearing a dark jacket with grey sleeves.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or can help identify the suspect.
