It follows allegations made at last year's event in Harrogate.

The exhibitors, who had been investigated, have now agreed not to return to the event after dropping an appeal.

Nigel Pulling, Chief Executive of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society, said:

"The outstanding issue relating to allegations of tampering with dairy cattle at the 2013 Great Yorkshire Show has been resolved.

"The exhibitors concerned have withdrawn their appeals.

"By mutual consent, they will not be exhibiting at any future Great Yorkshire Shows."

Rumours of so-called 'dirty tricks' have long been heard at agricultural events.

Practices, like sticking on hair or artificially enhancing cows' udders, are prohibited.
