Operation Drystone drives down crime

North Yorkshire Police says it's Operation Drystone has continued to drive down crime.

It's seen a 10.5% reduction on overall crime from April to December, amounting to 3892 less offenses.

Auto-crime, theft from vehicles and firework-related antisocial behavior was also down.

In York and Selby we're told the most effective operations have been on tackling burglary, binge drinking and illegal poaching or wildlife crime.
