Disabled Woman Pensioner Has Phone Snatched Out of Her Hand in Selby

Police are appealing for witnesses after an disabled woman’s mobile phone was snatched out of her hand in Selby.

The victim, a 67-year-old local woman, was getting out of her car outside Sainsbury’s on Abbey Walk at around 8.20am on Monday 24 March 2014, when a man cycled towards her.

Thinking that the man was going to hit her vehicle, she put her hand up to stop him and he grabbed her Blackberry which she was holding, and cycled off.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them with information.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Selby police.
