People in York With A Spare Room And Who Are Good With Kids Are Being Asked To Step Forward

York Council wants to hear from people in York who think they would be a suitable Short Breaks Service carer.

The service provides regular short breaks to children and young people with a permanent and substantial impairment or illness.

Short breaks can provide support for all the family by reassuring them that their child is safe and enjoying new and positive experiences with their carer.

The care can be anything from a few hours to a few days a month and is part of a regular and supported package of care for the disabled child and their family.

There are lots of different ways to get involved with Short Breaks, with the option to provide day or overnight care.
