River Rescue Teams To Help Search for Missing York Man
9:22am 4th March 2014
Police have called in river rescue teams to help in their search for missing York man Ben Clarkson.
The 22 year old has not been seen since 3.30am on Sunday 2 March 2014, outside Fibbers Nightclub, Stonebow.
A police spokesman told Minster FM that calling in the river team is "one of a number of lines of enquiry being followed".
Ben is described as white, 6ft tall with a slim build and collar length blond hair.
When Ben was last seen he was wearing dark jeans, a grey t-shirt with an Eiifel Tower logo and a black leather jacket.
Officers are concerned for Ben’s welfare as it is unusual for him not to be in contact with friends and family.
Inspector Charlotte Bloxham, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “Ben, if you see or hear this appeal I urge you to make contact with your family and friends straight away. They are very concerned about your welfare and want to know that you are safe and well.
“If you would prefer, you can contact the police and we will let your family know that you are not in any danger.
Inspector Bloxham added: “I am also appealing to anyone who may have seen Ben since he went missing and ask them to get in touch.”
Anyone who can help locate Ben Clarkson should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass the information the Force Control Room. Please quote reference number 12140033950.
