Woman Trapped in Overturned Car After York Crash

A woman has been cut out of a car which came off the road and ended up on it's roof in a ditch in the early hours of this morning.
 
It happened on Malton Road in Huntington, opposite Thompsons Fish and Chips, at 4:36am.
 
A 23 year old man who was in the car had managed to get out of the car and was checked for injuries by paramedics.
 

The 49 year old woman who was also in the car was trapped inside and had to be cut out by fire crews. She has since been taken to York Hospital for what the fire service describes as a "pre-cautionary check up".
