7:41am 26th February 2014

The controversial Lendal Bridge trial is not causing "significant" traffic jams in York, a city council official has told Minster FM's Lendal Bridge debate.

To mark the six month point of the trial, Minster FM held a debate allowing key opinion formers representing tourists, businesses, drivers and bus users to share their views with the city council, as well as putting questions from Minster FM listeners.

With council data showing increased traffic levels on Foss Islands Road and Clifton Bridge, Godfrey Bloom, who's executive patron of the Drivers' Union asked Darren Richardson from the city council if the traffic was just being moved elsewhere.
