At around 1.45pm on Tuesday 18 February 2014, the victim, a 20-year-old man, was driving his red Volkswagen Golf along a narrow road in Setterington after being diverted due to works. As he entered the diversion he narrowly missed hitting a black Citroen Berlingo van.
