Malton Police Investigate Kirkbymoorside Garage Burglary

Malton police are appealing for information after a burglary and theft near the town.

It occurred at around 1.15am on Saturday 15 February 2014, at Cook’s Garage, New Road, Kirkbymoorside.

Thieves broke into the property before stealing approximately £300 worth of cigarettes, of various brands, and petrol cans valued at £50.

PC Dave Kirk, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you saw any unusual vehicles or people acting suspiciously in Kirkbymoorside around the time of the burglary I ask you to contact the police straight away.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have been offered cigarettes or petrol cans in odd circumstances and ask them to get in touch.”
