Action for Children is on the hunt for volunteers, who are willing to be captured and held prisoner in York’s most Haunted House for charity.

The search is on for York’s most deserving captives and Action for Children is seeking nominations from the public.

Lisa Morton fundraiser at Action for Children said: “I’m sure there are people out there who deserved to be locked up for charity. Whether it’s a bossy boss, a nagging mum, or a big-headed best mate, Action for Children can make it happen.

“We would love to receive nominations from the public, so we can ‘capture’ the most deserving and hold them in York’s most Haunted House until a special ransom is paid.”

Captives will be treated to a terrifying tour of the house before being locked up with only ghosts and ghouls for company.

Armed only with a mobile phone and a list of friends, family and colleagues, they will then have to raise a £250 ransom to secure their release.

Lisa continued: “This event is all about having fun while raising money for a good cause. We want captives of all sorts, from the very nasty to the very nice, so if you know someone you’d like to have captured for charity, get in touch.

Action for Children’s Captured event will take place at the Haunted House, York from 7pm on Thursday 13th of March. To nominate a captive or for more information contact Lisa Morton 0113 200 7066 or lisa.morton@actionforchildren.org.uk
