Asda has announced it will back the York 10k, organised by the Jane Tomlinson Run for All charity, for the next four years.
The event is taking place in York on Sunday 3rd August. The charity is also holding 10k events in Hull and Burnley in June and in Leeds in July, which will also be supported by the Asda Foundation. The foundation was established by the supermarket to support good causes.
Julie Ward, Asda Foundation Manager, said: “We are proud to continue our support for the 10K Series.
“Jane was an inspirational figure and through these events her memory continues to inspire people to take on challenges of their own and raise money for a host of good causes.
“The four 10Ks are excellent events enjoyed by both those who take part and those who turn out to cheer on the runners.”
Run For All’s Mike Tomlinson said: “The Asda Foundation has been a vital supporter of our 10K series and we are extremely grateful that it has decided to continue with its backing.
“The Foundation’s support is invaluable in helping to ensure the events are such a success and raise the huge amount of money that enables many charities to carry out their very important work.”
Minster FM is proud to be the Official Radio Partner to the York Jane Tomlinson 10k.
