Man in Critical Condition After York Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in York.
The man, aged 44 and from Leeds, suffered an injury to his head in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at Hull Royal Infirmary, where his condition is described as critical but stable.
He was hit by a red Vauxhall Insignia while gaining access to his silver Ford Transit van via the sliding side door on Naburn Lane at around 2.55pm on Monday 20 January 2014.
The driver of the Vauxhall was uninjured in the collision.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to the incident to contact them with information.
