York Police Appeal for Information After A64 Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision near York.
The collision involving four vehicles – a blue Vauxhall Corsa, a blue BMW 3 Series, a blue Ford Focus and a grey Nissan Micra – occurred outside the Little Chef on the westbound carriageway of theA64 at Bilbrough Top, at around 12.50pm on Sunday 19 January 2014.
The Vauxhall Corsa left the road and hit a tree as a result of the collision.
Several people suffered were injured in the incident and were taken to York Hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
The westbound carriageway was closed while the vehicles involved in the collision were recovered. It reopened at around 2.30pm.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw a dark-coloured vehicle which may have been parked in the carriageway prior to the incident, to get in touch.
