People In Selby To Have Say On Policing And Crime
6:56am 16th January 2014
People from across Selby District have the chance to raise concerns about crime and policing when the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Yorkshire, Julia Mulligan, holds a surgery in the town today (16 January 2014).
The surgery will take place from 4.30pm to 6.00pm on Thursday 16 January at Selby Community Centre on Scott Road.
The surgery is part of a rolling programme across the county, where people can talk to Julia about her role, any policing or wider community safety issues.
Julia Mulligan said: “North Yorkshire is the safest place to live in England. However, statistics mean little if you’ve experienced crime or are afraid of crime.
“My principal aim is to drive down crime and anti-social behaviour yet further so that North Yorkshire residents can be safe and feel safe, protected by the most responsive service in England.
“These surgeries are an opportunity for local people to raise any individual concerns or complaints and are an important way of making sure that North Yorkshire Police is meeting the needs of the communities it serves.”
If you would like to book an appointment with Julia - or for further information about other Surgeries - please telephone 01423 569 562 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
