Appeal After Guitar Stolen From York

York police are appealing for information after a valuable guitar was stolen from a van in The Green in Acomb.

Between 10pm on 1 January and 9.15am the following day, a Peugeot van was broken into and thieves stole the acoustic guitar fitted with a pick-up and a Tom Tom satnav.

The guitar is described by police as a “Moon” acoustic guitar and made from blonde wood on the front with the rest of the body made from darker wood. It is slightly smaller than a standard acoustic guitar. The strap is a tapestry style in a  blue and cream design. It was stolen along with its case described as black with a red felt lining. The guitar cost around £2,200.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been offered the guitar for sale or has any information about the theft to contact them.
