Barlby Pensioner Breaks Leg After Selby Collision

Selby police are appealing for information to a collision in the town, which left a man with serious leg injuries.
It occurred at 2pm on Wednesday 8 January 2014, on Ousegate, near the Old Toll Bridge.
The collision involved a blue Ford Fiesta, driven by a 24-year-old woman from Whitley, and a pedal cycle being ridden by a 66-year-old Barlby man.
As a result of the incident the cyclist suffered a broken leg and was taken to York District Hospital where he currently remains in a stable condition.
The woman and passenger in the Fiesta were not injured in the collision.
PC Kevin Keenan, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you witnessed the collision or saw either of the vehicles involved just prior to the incident, I ask that you get in touch with the police straight away.”
