Fit Bus contains top tips on how travellers can build in simple ways to make the most of their time on the bus and improve their fitness.
Arriva Buses is helping passengers keep their New Year’s resolutions in 2014 with the creation of Fit Bus - a guide on how to transform the daily commute into a daily workout.
Fit Bus contains top tips on how travellers can build in simple ways to make the most of their time on the bus and improve their fitness. The guide includes exercise advice including; Stop-it-up - simply change the stop you normally get off and on the bus to one or two stops further away, and Stairmaster - If your bus is a double decker make sure that you always take a seat upstairs – giving those legs a good workout up and down.
Nigel Featham, regional managing director of Arriva Yorkshire, said: “Fit Bus is a light hearted guide to how using the bus can keep you fit. Featuring quick tips the guide shows bus users how simple changes to their daily bus routine can have a big impact.”
“New Year’s resolutions are often broken by the end of January however Arriva wants 2014 to be the year people stick to them and with the creation of the Fit Bus guide – getting fit may just be the one that is kept.
“Getting fit is just one resolution that using the bus can help people achieve. Switching from travelling by car to bus can help people save money, make new friends and improve their green credentials by reducing the impact on the environment.”
