Appeal To Find 2 Women Who Helped Injured Van Driver On B1257 Near Sproxton,

Police investigating a collision near Sproxton, Helmsley in which two men were seriously injured have appealed for two good Samaritans to come forward who stopped to help the injured van driver.
The two women stopped to help at the scene at around 6.30pm on Thursday 5 December 2013 when a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a black Mitsubishi L200 pick-up collided near the bottom of Sproxton bank.
The driver of the Mercedes, a man in his forties from the County Durham area, was taken to York District Hospital where he remains is a serious condition.
The driver of the Mitsubishi, a man in his thirties from the Helmsley area was taken to James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough with serious injuries but has since been discharged from hospital, say police.
Police are appealing for the two women to come forward and to anyone else who witnessed the crash and has not yet come forward.
