Byron Burgers Approved for York

York

4:46pm 10th December 2013

A new upmarket burger restaurant has been approved for York.

It means Byron Hamburgers will be allowed to open their restaurant on High Ousegate, in the current Danish Kitchen restaurant.

But the city council's licencing committee has limited how long it can play music and serve alcohol but it will still be able to operate until around midnight.

Agreements were also reached on noise levels and security.

Concerns had been raised that the venue could encourage more alcohol related trouble in the city centre.
