Death At Caravan Park Near Selby – Witnesses Urged to Come Forward
5:50am 2nd December 2013
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information following the sudden and unexplained death of a 23-year-old man in the Selby area.
Paramedics and police officers were called to The Ranch Caravan Park on Cliffe Common at 3.12am on Sunday 1 December 2013 after the man was found unconscious in one of the caravans.
Repeated attempts were made to revive him but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, say officers.
Police enquiries remain ongoing at the caravan park as officers investigate the full circumstances surrounding the death.
North Yorkshire Police say the location has been cordoned off and members of the public are asked to keep away from the site at this time.
One of the lines of enquiry that the investigation team is examining was that the man was possibly assaulted on Saturday night or during the early hours of Sunday prior to going to bed.
Officers are urging witnesses to the assault to come forward without delay, or anyone with other information that could assist the investigation.
If you can help, please call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room.
