More than 6,000 skaters have been to York for Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland in it's first week with organisers saying it's set to be another record year.
Situated at York Designer Outlet, the event was opened last Friday by Minster FM's Griffo with TV celebrities Chloe Madeley and Danny Young, and has since been receiving record numbers of visitors every day.
New to the event this year is PapaKitchen at The Ice Factor, the alpine-style chalet situated next to the ice rink which is said to have already been a massive hit.
The event expects more people to arrive this weekend as Santa Claus takes up residence in his grotto. He'll be there on weekends and selected weekdays until Christmas, Santa Claus will be welcoming children, taking note of their Christmas wishes and giving every child a gift.
Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland have also launched a skate school which kicks off this Sunday, as well as masterclasses by the resident skate tutor.
Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland will be open daily until 5th January 2014, and is located at McArthur Glen’s York Designer Outlet on the A64/A19 interchange.
