£500 of Car Batteries Stolen in Malton

Malton police are appealing for information after a commercial burglary in the town.

It occurred at around 6.30pm on Wednesday 13 November 2013, from a storage compound of a firm on the York Road Business Park.

The thieves stole around 50 vehicle batteries, with a total value of around £500.

PC Emma Collins, of the Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you were in the area of the business park at the time of the theft, I ask you to come forward as you may have vital information that could help this investigation.

“I am also keen to speak to anyone who has been offered batteries in unusual circumstances and ask them to get in touch.”
