The Housing Minister is calling for compromise over plans to build 22,000 new homes in York.

Supporters say the homes are needed to grow the economy, while opponents fear the impact on the greenbelt.

Kris Hopkins spoke to Minster FM on a visit to York yesterday.

The city council's now putting together it's final plans which will be revealed next year.
