Malton Police Seek Shoplifting Suspects
11:05am 14th November 2013
Police investigating an incident of shoplifting in the town have released images of two women they need to trace.
They were caught on CCTV in the Lloyds Pharmacy, in the Market Place, at 1.15pm on Saturday 9 November 2013.
Police say it is believed that they picked up aftershave, hair dye, shower gel and a hot water bottle before leaving the store without paying for the goods.
The first woman is described by police as being white, around 60 years old with a short stocky build and short grey hair. She was wearing a grey poncho and carrying a large white holdall.
They add that the second woman is white, around 50 years old, with a large build and short dark hair. She was wearing a grey top, blue scarf and glasses.
PC Anna Rees, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you are either of the women caught on camera and you were not involved with this theft, I urge you to come forward straight away so that I can eliminate you from my enquiries.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who recognises either of the women and ask them to get in touch as soon as possible.”
Anyone who can help officers to progress this investigation should contact Malton police on 101, select option 2 and ask for Anna Rees. Alternatively, information can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
