York Traffic Fears If Local Plan Goes Ahead
8:36am 28th October 2013
New fears have been raised of traffic jams if plans for twenty-two-thousand new homes go ahead in York's Local Plan.
The plans for how York will develop between 2015 and 2040 include proposals for the extra homes in the city.
But there are fears that'll mean more traffic jams on the Outer Ring Road, A64, A19 and on the Grimston Bar roundabout.
Neighbouring councils and the Highways Agency have all put their fears to York Council.
The city council says it welcomes all feedback which will be considered in the next draft of the proposals.
