Call For City Of York Council Cabinet Member To Quit

Minster FM News Generic

8:27am 28th October 2013

After claims the travellers' site in Osbaldwick in York has been badly run, there's a call for a council cabinet member to quit.

That comes from independent York councillor Mark Warters who wants Labour's Tracey Simpson-Laing to go after what he says are years of neglect at the site.

Problems are said to include rubbish being dumped, poor care of horses and a shed for a site manager being stolen.

We'll be speaking to Tracey-Simpson Laing for her response later today.
