Hallowscream Puts York On the Map As A Halloween Hotspot
12:55pm 18th October 2013
York Maze is renowned for its summer maize maze for families, but the popular Yorkshire tourist attraction also has a darker side.
As Halloween approaches York Maze opens its gates at night with five live-action haunted house style attractions, for an event that it says is not suitable for anyone under the age of 14.
Tom Pearcy from York Maze says, “We offer family friendly Halloween activities during the day, but at night our Hallowscream events take over. We have seen a massive growth in the popularity of Halloween in recent years. Adults just can’t seem to get enough of it. This year’s Hallowscream nights is our biggest yet, spread over three weekends and Halloween night itself. We now have five live action haunted house attractions and are trialing a new after show zombie themed bar. The Hallowscream nights are very different from our usual family friendly activities.”
York Maze Hallowscream nights are on Fri 18 & Sat 19, Fri 25 & Sat 26, Thurs 31 October and Fri 1 & Sat 2 November. Tickets must be purchased online in advance at www.yorkmazehallowscream.co.uk
